A transition is in process that will lead to the dissolution of the Louisiana Maternal and Child Health Coalition.  A separate organization, the Louisiana Perinatal/MCH Foundation, will continue the educational mission of the Coalition.  The advocacy work of the Coalition has led to greatly improved access to health care for women and children in Louisiana.  It could be said that the organization is a victim of its own success as the need for continued advocacy is changing with the changing health care landscape in the state.
